What can I expect?

wHAT HAPPENS DURING A Sunday Morning Gathering?

In total, a The Fountain Sunday services are about an hour in length. Services begin with a welcome from a pastor or a staff member, followed by the the worship team leading the church in music. Song lyrics are projected onto a screen so that you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. During one of the songs, we allow our members to give towards our church and the mission work we support around the globe. As a guest, please do not feel obligated to contribute. After the music portion of the service is complete, our pastor (or another speaker) will explain a Bible passage in its original context and identify lessons from the text that we can apply to our lives today. The Scripture passage used will be projected on the screen in the New American Standard Bible translation, and there are copies of the same translation in book racks on the back of seats. Then, we will serve a small cup of juice and a piece of broken cracker at the front of the sanctuary to any Christian who desires to join us in remembering the death of Jesus in this special way as we close with an ending song or hymn. You may leave at this time or join us in our Gathering Place (a room, as you exit, to the left of the lobby), and get to know some of us over snacks.

What's the culture like at First Christian Church?

Sundays at The Fountain are warm, inviting and encouraging. You will find people present from multiple backgrounds and age groups. Average dress ranges from very casual and relaxed, to full suits. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

What about my CHildren?

We want children at the Fountain to have a have a blast AND fall in love with Jesus so we make both a priority.

Our check-in system is set up to make it easy and provide safety for your children. For first time visitors, you can sign up as a guest or register your child(ren) at our computer kiosk. You will receive a printed tag for your child(ren) as well as a security tag you will need to pick them up. Then take them to their classrooms. Don't know where to go? We have volunteers who are there just to show you the way. Once a family is in our computer, you can download the Church Center app and check your kids in before you even arrive. When you arrive, scan your QR code and grab your printed tags. Its that easy.

We have two check in locations at this time. Infants and Toddlers, up to age 4, can be checked in at our nursery. When you pick up your little one, be sure to grab your communication log. This helps you know what your baby or toddler did while they were there. We have a schedule posted on the wall, so you can see the kind of things toddlers do in the room.

Older kids, aged 4 years - 10 years, can be checked into our kids classroom for Sunday School and Jesus Street. If you sign your child in for Sunday school, they remain there for the service as well.

Sunday School starts at 9am and kids can be checked into church between 10-10:15am. Kids doing both have an opportunity to get a snack and have play time either inside or on the playground as weather permits. We look forward to seeing your kids and getting to know how we can connect with you as the parents as well.
